I have had issues with pipes freezing this winter in my mobile home, this last time though after getting them thawed out I only have water in 1 bathroom.
The bathtub has hot and cold water, and the toilet is working well. What could be causing this issue? Thank you for any advice

I can only guess that there is a loose component in your kitchen faucet - try replacing the unit.
There is no reason that running a plumbing fixture at location "A" should "turn on" a faucet at location "B".
When that happens I suspect that a change in water pressure or possibly WATER HAMMER (search InspectApedia.com for that phrase) is causing either leaks or actual vibration that opens the kitchen tap.
Interesting question, thanks for asking. If you find some different cause do let me know as that'll help other readers.

Hi all- need some help here. Have a tiny house on wheels with rain water tank, pump, filter and 18-litre pressure tank sits atop the pump & Gas Calafont.
Problem is whenever I turn any tap on in the house, the kitchen faucet starts running. This also happens when I turn on the tap at the kitchen.
The water stops running about 30 seconds after the pump kicks in then as long as the pump is running, the kitchen faucet doesn't run. Seems each time the pressure tank is full and taps turned on, the water runs from the kitchen faucet.
All tapware is brand new and separate hot & cold taps with faucets, apart from the outdoor garden hose tap and washing machine. Pump is self priming 50psi, pressure tank is set at 28psi and my plumber installed a regulating valve (no improvement). He is stumped. I've also removed the pressure tank and run the system alone with the pump (no improvement) Any McGuyver types out there with an answer please?

Don't close a drain before you know whether or not it is draining something.
To repair the leaky sink drain you need to look carefully for where the leak is occurring - in a pipe connection that can be tightened, or around the strainer-basket that usually means disassembly and replacement.
Search InspectApedia.com for SINK LEAK DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR to see details or just click over to https://inspectapedia.com/plumbing/Sink_Drain_Leak_Repair.php

Thank you, since i don't have a dishwasher or ac is this something that should be closed? I will try the mineral oil for now. And is the leak around the main sink drain something that can be repaired with putty or some type of sealant?

Tina,
I *suspect* that the drain onto which you're shining a light is a dishwasher drain or Air conditioner condensate drain dripping into an open trap. If the trap in fact loses its water seal - for example by evaporation if no wastewater enters the trap for a time - then yes, sewer gases would be likely to leak up out from that trap.
A common and trivial solution for seldom-used dry traps, if that's the odor source, is to pour some mineral oil or baby oil into the trap just enough to fill it.
FYI it looks to me as if there have been leaks around the main sink drain tailpiece.

I live in a rental unit, it's a converted attic upper of a house and i smell something awful coming from my kitchen sink area and bathroom shower drain. I'm not sure why but there is an open pipe under the kitchen sink, could this be the source of the smell?

That doesn't sound like a very good idea. Check out the plumbing routing and vent distances discussed at
Can I run a vent pipe up a wall, across the ceiling, and back down another wall to connect two sinks to a vent stack?
