This page reviews and gives examples of the colors in which you can buy roof drip edge materials.
Roof drip edge flashing assists water in leaving the roof edge (rather than running down building walls or into soffits or eaves) by more-effectively directing the water off of the roof and into the gutter.

The color choices for drip edge flashing will differ depending on the flashing material - not all colors are available in all metals.
For example steel drip edge from ACM Metals are sold in nine colors while the same company provides roof drip edge in other materials in nearly thirty colors, and some drip edge suppliers or installers can provide custom-painted drip edge flashing in just about any color.
We note that drip edge flashing color is principally a cosmetic or aesthetic concern, not a functional one. Color doesn't affect drip edge life nor effectiveness.
While pretty much every building supplier has white and brown drip edge in stock and many also stock black drip edge, in fact roof drip edge flashing is sold widely in six common color choices to compliment the color of the roof covering, or to match building fascia, trim, or siding colors.
Really? The actual color of drip edge that will be readily-available for your roofing job will depend further on the drip edge type, profile, material used, as well as the manufacturers whose drip edge products are stocked by your local roofing supply companies. For example GAF's color chart above shows 38 different edge metal color choices, but if your roofing job is going to use GAF's EverGuard dripo edge system, a more-special prodct describved below, that drip edge is available in ten "express" colors.
Unlike the other drip edge crimes we describe at ROOF DRIP EDGE INSTALLATION MISTAKES, our research found no relationship between choice of drip edge color and the durability of the material. Rather, drip edge color is an aesthetic choice.
For more demanding color matching requirements, some roof drip edge manufacturers such as ACM provide twenty-five different drip edge color choices - shown below.
What if you want your drip edge color to match building trim or shutter or other colors exactly?
Aluminum drip edge can be painted with success provided that the drip edge is clean and free of oil or other contaminants. Choose a spray paint that is rated for use on metal surfaces.
Note: painting aluminum drip edge is not required for product durability. But if your local drip edge supplier doesn't have the drip edge color you want, painting the available product may be an option, especially if your building's roof requires a special drip edge product such as extra-wide flashing that's not as readily available in a wide range of factory-applied colors.
