Greetings all. I checked the Bryant and Carrier date code list and could not find this model number fitting any of the formats.
I am thinking it is from the 50s given some of the general format. Can anyone assist? Thanks in advance.
Location: US, KCMO, Residential unit. In use until about 15 or so years ago. Still installed. House built in 1920.

I take it we both looked at BRYANT HVAC AGE MANUALS & PARTS GUIDES
and CARRIER AIR CONDITIONERS BOILERS FURNACES AGE MANUALS
... Kansas City Missouri 1920 home, that Bryant "Winter Air Conditioner" made by the original Bryant Heater Division of the Affiliated Gas Equipment Co., Inc., in Cleveland Ohio,
Charles Bryant founded his original heating company using the name Natural Gas Regulator Company in Cleveland Ohio in 1904, selling gas-fueled heating boilers. The Natural Gas Regulator Co. changed its name to Bryant Heater Manufacturing Co. in 1908.
That company was in turn bought by Dresser Industries around 1935, ten years before Dresser bought the Day & Night Water Heater Co.
But by 1950 those companies left Dresser to form the Affiliated Gas Equipment Co. also sometimes branded "AGE", continuing to do business under that name until 1955.
And it's the Affiliated Gas Equipment Co. brand that appears on your heater's data tag.
This New York Times news article shown in full at left,
"Merger Vote Set By Carrier Corp". New York Times. Saturday January 29, 1955,

tells us that early in 1955, Carrier Corporation merged with Affiliated Gas Equipment, Inc.,
which in turn owned the Bryant Heater Co., Day & Night Water Heater Co., and Payne Furnace & Supply Co.
That would argue that your "Winter Air Conditioner" Bryant furnace could indeed be as old as from the mid 1950s .

Thank you very much! It helps a great deal. Glad to add a bit of trivia to this puzzle. By the info on your other page, I agree it would be from mid late 50s.
