Ode to Tooth Number Two

I left my tooth, alone in Duluth
at the Airport, to narrow it down.
Not on the floor but close to the door,
in a trash can I easily found.

While waiting for Lili, the airport air was chilly
so I wandered twixt car and and inside.
My smartphone kept lying, saying "she's flying"
but Lili was still on the ground.

So not more to do, and lacking tooth glue
I wrapped up and tossed number two.
Into a receptacle, avoiding the spectacle
of drooling or lisping ... it's true!

Leaving a gap, my more spacious yap
now toothless, I'd ruthlessly laugh
if not for the money it'd be kinda funny
plus the trouble of gluing that cap.

To the tooth say "Goodbye", To the dentist: "Nice try
but your cap in my yap was a clown!
So I just took it out, and gave it this shout,
Tooth two, time to get out of town!"

Gone at last, no more biting, alas,
mewling and drooling now trash
at Airport Duluth, the end of one tooth
forsaken, forlorn, free at last.
