History of Coleman Lanterns, Stoves, and HVAC
The original Coleman company was founded Oklahoma in the U.S. by W.C. Coleman in 1900. Coleman HVAC (Coleman heating and air condtioning equipment) originated in 1958, was purchased by MacAndrews & Forbes in 1989, then was sold on to Beacon International (Canada), also titled Beacon Capital Corporation, in 1990, when the company was renamed Evcon Industries.
Evcon was purchased by York International in 1994.
