According to the current Schwank company (cited below) Günther Schwank founded the company in Fegersheim, Alsace, France. He patented a gas infrared radiator in 1939.

Perfection HVAC

PERFECTION HVAC was absorbed by Hupp and became the Perfection Division, Hupp Industries in 1964.

In 1965, Hupp dropped the Perfection name. Later Hupp-Perfection was re-named the Typhoon Division of Hupp Industries.

Hupp was in bankruptcy in 1991. [Citations needed]
