Dan Friedman, a home inspector who studies building failures, is collecting
information regarding failures of Boise-Cascade composite-product wood siding
failures.

This product is similar to products sold by Masonite Corp. and Georgia Pacific
Corp, both of which experience failures of delamination, swelling, softening,
and general deterioration when exposed to water and weather.

We have photographs and material samples on-hand and are developing a
technical article which, when ready, will be posted at this website.
